Oude Egyptenaren geloofden in magie, als onderdeel van de genezing. In onze wereld van de moderne wetenschap en geneeskunde verstaan en begrijpen wij niet meer de oude kunst van de Egypte van toen. De huidige universitair geschoolden doen smalend over magie, maar in de oudheid werd magie beoefend met betrekking tot alle vragen over het leven, de dood en ziekte. Het was verweven met religie en de genezing werd beoefend door de priesters in de tempels.
Psychologie werd ook gebruikt als onderdeel van het helen met behulp van bezweringen, het plechtig reciteren van zinnen en woorden van deed een beroep op het onbewuste en hielp een zieke persoon. Dit zou de patiënt gerust stellen en werkte rustig en kalmerend op de zenuwen. Het effect van angst op de patiënt voor een onbekende macht, dat we vandaag de dag als bijgeloof zouden bestempelen, werd hierdoor verminderd.
De Egyptenaren geloofden dat ziekte en aandoeningen veroorzaakt werden door boze geesten, die in het lichaam van de mens huisden, indien de persoon niet beter werd, zocht hun familie hulp en bracht de zieke naar de tempel om te worden behandeld met een bezwering, drugs of incubatie.
De godin Isis werd beschouwd als een grote tovenares en genezeres, dit is een bezweringsformule voor haar:
O Isis, Grote Tovenares, bevrijd mij, verlos mij van alle kwaad en rode dingen, van de koorts van de God en de koorts van de Godin. van de dood en de pijn van de dood, en de pijn die over mij komt, zoals gij hebt bevrijd, en als gij uw zoon Horus hebt vrijgegeven, terwijl ik voer in het vuur en voortga in het water.

Magic & Healing in Ancient Egypt
In our modern age of hospitals and specialists to treat illness, we probably would mock some forms of ancient egyptian healing and magic.
The egyptians believed that sickness and disease were caused by evil spirits, they would take the ill person to the temple for healing where he would be treated by the priests with incantations drugs or incubation. Incantations are a form of Psychology, the solem recitation of certain sentences and words of invocation over a sick person, would reasure and calm them helping to soothe the patients nerves and worry that would probably have been caused by an unknown fear, we would accept this as superstition. Amulets were also used, when the mummy was prepared for burial all forms of amulets were woven in the bindings to offer protection.
The Goddess Isis was regarded as a great enchantress and a healer,together with the help of the God Thoth she found all the parts of her husband osiris body, after he had been killed by his jelous brother Seth, and she brought him back to life
Healing magic was a speciality of the priests who served the Goddess Sekhmet, the fearsome goddess of plague,‘the Goddess of a thousand names’, She destroys all that is no longer of value and brings healing to the world
Destructive magic was also practised. The names of foreign enemies and Egyptian traitors were inscribed on clay pots or tablets that could be broken or burnt.Wax figurines could be created,and used to bring ill health or death to a person, Ramses 111 had many people of his harem tried and then executed for using destructive magick against him, this incident is known as the harem plot, and took place in the harem quarters at Medinet Habu.
Pharoahs would have prisoners on the soles of their shoes to theoretically tread them underfoot and squash them, pschologically in the belief that this would weaken or destroy the enemy..Enemies would also be portrayed beneath the kings throne to show that he was powerful and subdued enemies that threatened Egypt.

Grieks-Romeinse Mummies, Kerkhoven & Dodenmaskers Baharya & Dahkla Oase.
Tijdens het bezoek aan de Baharya oase met mijn groepen en onze geweldige enthousiaste en spirituele Egyptische gids, Ibrahim die ons leidde naar de oude begraafplaatsen. Daar vind je een soort van grotten waar we oude graven vonden met mummies slechts gehuld in linnen, dit waren mogelijk huurlingen van Alexander de Grote in dit gebied, Dit deel van Egypte heeft historisch een van de sterkste verbindingen met de geschiedenis met de antieke Griekse en Romeinse beschaving..
Alexandrer de Grote had een tempel hier gebouwd en het werd een bloeiende stad voor de handel in wijn, dit bracht veel rijkdom aan dit gebied, waardoor handelaren voor zichzelf graven bouwden je vindt er zelfs een uitgebreide Romeinse begraafplaats. Het is in dit gebied waar de gouden mummies werden gevonden .Wat deze Grieks-Romeinse mummies en hun dodenmaskers zo buitengewoon maakt, is dat de Romeinen hun geloof vermengden met de oude Egyptische gewoonten van het behoud van de lichamen en organen voor het hiernamaals, maar ze schilderden de gezichten van de mummies zo dat het een realistisch beeld van het gezicht van de overledene gaf, wat hen een gevoel bezorgde de overledene echt te kennen.
De ongewone gezichten of dodenmaskers van de Bahariya Oase bood ons een indruk van de mensen van toen met hun individuele karakters, hun verleden en de belofte van een hiernamaals. De beelden zijn persoonlijk, sommige kunnen je nog steeds raken omdat ze ontroerend mooi zijn. Een vrouwelijke mummie die we zagen in het museum heeft prachtige ogen, die worden geaccentueerd door de eyeliner, en het deed me denken aan een gezegde van mijn eigen oma, 'zij zei altijd Dress to Impress omdat je nooit weet wat er kan gebeuren in de toekomst en deze jonge vrouw wilde zo te zien er op haar best uitzien in het hiernamaals.

Armand martinex show about unknown heat signature that has been found at Giza pyramid
It is a well known fact that the Mayans have a calendar that ends in 2012, not many people know that the Ancient Egyptians predicted the re birth of Osiris in December 2012, their ancient Egyptian Prophecy, and the star alignment show the rebirth of Osiris in 2012, like many people I believe this period 2012 is the beginning and will offer us a new beginning of conscious thought. Recently Arman Martinez on his American show informed us of an amazing discovery that has been found at Giza, of an entity or heat signature inside the pyramid,that the American military have been sent to investigate,(I have included the link to his show at the bottom of this blog)Armand's show informed us of :
"...A friend of an un-named military enlisted guy was being sent to Egypt because of a heat signature registered in the "top room" of the 'major pyramid" apparently, according to him, an area that no one had access to. For this reason Osiris could live on Earth”
Charles Piazzi Smyth who lived in the 19th century was known as the pyramid man, he is buried under a small pyramid shaped gravestone, a pyramid is a staircase to heaven. Charles lived during the 19th century and was the Astronomer for Scotland, he observed Halley's Comet and the Great Comet of 1843, and was also involved in the verification of Nicolas Louis de Lacaille's arc of the meridian.
Charles used pyramidal measurements to prove the second coming of Jesus, obviously most people ridiculed him, but Ancient Egyptian priests & astronomers also predicted the return of Osiris in 2012 when the Zenith meridian at Giza runs through Jupiter at the Hades in Taurus over Giza Pyramid on December 21st 2012.
It is amazing how many religions entwine, Osiris also promised everyone an afterlife as Jesus did, could it be the same soul with a different name?

Charles Piazzi Smyth - 2012
Charles Piazzi Smyth werd bekend als de piramide man, omdat hij is begraven op een Engels kerkhof onder een steen in de vorm van een kleine piramide. Zoals we inmiddels weten is de piramide een trap naar de hemel. Charles leefde in de 19de eeuw en was de astronoom voor Schotland, hij observeerde de komeet van Halley en de grote komeet van 1843 daarnaast was hij ook betrokken bij de verificatie van de meridianenboog van Nicolas Louis de Lacaille.
Charles gebruikte de meetwaarden van de piramide om opnieuw de komst van Jezus te bewijzen.
De meeste mensen maakten hem natuurlijk belachelijk, maar de Egyptische priesters en astronomen voorspelden ook de terugkeer van Osiris in 2012 en wel wanneer de Zenith meridiaan in Gizeh door Jupiter loopt op Hades in Stier boven de Piramide op Gizeh op 21/12/2012.
Het is verbazend hoeveel religies eenzelfde thema hebben, Osiris die opnieuw werd geboren en net als Jezus beloofde ook hij iedereen een leven na de dood. Zou het dezelfde ziel kunnen zijn met een andere naam?
